Fashion : Tristen

Hello! Last week was a busy week for me so there will be a few posts coming. To start with, I shot with Tristen. More of a fashion style shoot moving away from the alternative and retro style that we have done before. I love trying out different styles especially as we have worked together quite a few times now and am very happy with how the shoot went. Here’s a teaser, you can click on it to view bigger. Mx

Pencil Fan

Back in July I posted some fan art of my work with sweet friend Simone Simons, singer from Epica. I’ve had some more sent through varying from digital art, paintings, and pencil drawings. This one I just HAD to share with you. I love the simplicity and detail that just ordinary pencil can bring to an image. By Paz Patterer from Argentina. Thanks Paz!!   Epica have just announced some dates for their 2012 tour with more to come! Mx

Stunning Silver

After the success of the Jane Doe Brass Collection launched in March, Seventh Circle Artworks and Jane Doe launched the Silver Edition this week. I’m a really big fan of silver and I love how the pieces give a different vibe when worn even though they are exactly the same design as the Brass. Alongside this the Crobar (London’s favourite rock bar in Soho) “Larry” Skull Cufflinks are now for sale Also, from Monday 14th November the Stone Dead Forever Eternity Ring will be available. Which I absolutely adore. You can purchase all of these items and more at Seventh Circle Artworks. Christmas is coming…. what a great idea for an original gift? Mx

Dolls ‘n’ Divas – Miss November

It’s official. The clocks have gone back here in the UK – the nights will be drawing in and the temperature dropping as we prepare ourselves for winter. If you’ve purchased my Dolls ‘n’ Divas Calendar, you will be looking at the stunning and mysterious Amber Erlandsson (also know in in the alternative modeling world as Morrigan Hel). She is dressed in military inspired corset outfit by Velda Lauder. Amber fronts Metal band Nemhain and also runs the photo studio used for this shoot – Murder Mile. She’s a rather talented and fun person to be around! Amber’s hair styled by the wonderful Sherri Sue Liberatori from Diamond Dolls Boutique, London. This was one of my favourite shoots from the calendar as it explored the less girly side of the 50’s pin up modeling. I also can’t help but like the smell of a burning cigar! Amber was such a pro that we only needed one for the shoot, and thankfully the smoke alarms in the studio were turned off! Only one more month left to reveal now… I wonder who it could be? Mx

Published! REVOLVER USA, Hottest Chicks 2012 Calendar & Terrorizer Magazine

Just a little update to let you all know my latest published news… REVOLVER Magazine, (USA based rock magazine) has printed one of my pictures full page in their latest issue out this week – their yearly Hottest Chicks in Hard Rock issue. You may all recognise Simone Simons from the shoot I did earlier this year, with Simone wearing jewellery from the Jane Doe Collection by Seventh Circle Artworks. Alongside that, REVOLVER have a Hottest Chicks in Hard Rock 2012 Calendar which is available for sale now. Another photo I took of Simone features in their Calendar – she is centre spread, the month of June. Order your Calendar here. Each month has dates marked with important birthdays and events in the Rock Music world. Both of these items are the first major pieces of publication I’ve had in the States so far and I’m super stoked! Lastly, with the release of Machine Head’s album ‘Unto the Locust’, Terrorizer Magazine printed full page my picture of Robb Flynn. Machine Head have just started touring on this album and I’m very much looking forward to catching up with the guys here in December at their London show!

Promo Teaser – DogState

I spent my Friday night this week at my favourite photo studio with rock band DogState. The guys wanted some promos to go alongside their new EP release ‘War Baby’. Here’s a little teaser of one of the other shoot settings! The guys currently have the contact sheets to decide their final images, so after then I will share some of them with you all. We all worked really hard on the shoot but also had a great laugh too. I’m off to York tomorrow morning early for a little break but will share some pictures as I’ve been told that there’s some great architecture there. Plus I want to go to the Viking Museum too! Mx

Dolls ‘n’ Divas – Miss October

The first few days of October felt like summer at almost 80 degrees, so I actually refused to believe it was actually October until today! Model, Burlesque Performer and Seamstress are just a few of the talents of Miss Bruise Violet – the lady that graces the month of October on the Dolls ‘n’ Divas Calendar. Wearing a handmade dress with a thigh-high side split to show off her awesome spooky Halloween tattoo, it’s clear why she is Miss October. Miss Bruise Violet has her own clothing label ‘Sucker for a Heartbeat’ and performs her Burlesque routine across the UK. I have no doubt she will be traveling further afield very soon. Check out her website for all the latest! My amazing team on Hair and Makeup was Marino Lambrix and Julie Cooper. It was probably one of the funniest shoots and I have so many outtakes and behind the scenes images. Here’s one of my favourites. It was so hot that day that Marino had to use one of the props in the dressing room to fan her. Everyone at the Calendar Launch last year caught her sexy routine at the London Tattoo Convention. Here’s the clip so you […]

Dolls ‘n’ Divas – Miss September

Can you believe it’s September already? This year has flown by! It feels like forever ago since this shoot with beautiful Bella for the Dolls ‘n’ Divas Calendar. You all get to look at her for this month. It was such a pretty and giggly shoot, actually shot at my in-laws bedroom. They had such a lovely 1950’s setting with all the little nick nacks and a kidney shaped dresser that was perfect for the shoot. Bella comes from New Zealand and is a dab hand at makeup; having her work published worldwide in magazines such as Vogue, Harpers and Elle along with working at MAC Cosmetics in Harrods, London along her journey. She has her own business – Bella Simonsen Makeup Artist Ltd – check out her work here. Her hair was styled by good friend Sherri Liberatori from Diamond Dolls Boutique London and lingerie provided by FairyGothMother/Lulu & Lush.   I hope to have some news for you very soon on the future plans for Dolls ‘n’ Divas.
